Every Taoran piece travels a journey shaped by centuries of tradition and human care.
Each cup begins as raw clay on a potter's wheel in a small family studio. The artisan shapes it by feel — no moulds, no machines — relying on decades of muscle memory to achieve the perfect weight and balance.
Our glazes are made from mineral oxides, wood ash, and feldspar — the same recipes used for centuries. The firing process in a wood or gas kiln transforms these raw materials into surfaces that shift subtly with the light.
We personally select every piece that reaches you. Each cup is inspected, hand-wrapped in recyclable packaging, and shipped from our UK centre. Free delivery on orders over £60.

Each piece is made in small batches by a single artisan studio. Stock is limited — when a batch sells out, it may be months before the next firing.

All our ceramics are handcrafted in small family studios across China's historic ceramic regions — primarily Jingdezhen (porcelain), Longquan (celadon), and Dehua (blanc de chine). Each piece is made by artisans whose families have practised ceramic craft for generations.
Yes! We ship from our UK fulfilment centre. Standard delivery is £3.95, and it's free on orders over £60. Most orders arrive within 2–4 working days. We use recyclable, plastic-free packaging.

Most pieces are dishwasher safe on a gentle cycle, but we recommend hand-washing to preserve the glaze. Porcelain and stoneware are generally microwave safe; pieces with metallic glazes are not. Each product page includes specific care instructions.
If your piece arrives damaged or isn't what you expected, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund or exchange. If anything arrives broken, send us a photo and we'll send a replacement immediately.
